The Milton Scribe

Keeping your head above
water and your mind away
from distraction ∘ strengthen
those brain muscles ∘ thou
which has those chosen
nerves of divine order ∘
So chaotic in the way they
were sewn, yet what we
see is our God’s glorious
structure realizing its
fullest, grandest sense of
self and thus nature whence
life’s stream flows with a
magical rapidity and nearly
saddening automatic reinventing
of its own love so to feel again her touch •
